Rita Ashkenazi

Psychotherapist

Languages: English, Russian

Areas of Speciality: My focus is to help my clients grow, feel, and live as better versions of themselves.

I see psychotherapy as tool that helps connect deeply, heal and allow you to be your true self.

I help clients — people like you —who value deep learning and development, to become better versions of themselves. I  as I myself was helped by others through the storms of life.

I believe therapy is more than just a way to feel better. There are simpler and less expensive ways to achieve temporary relief. If life was all about feeling good, we would have figured it out by now, right?

Instead, I see therapy as a journey to help you live a full and fulfilling life, despite the challenges and uncertainties that life likes to throw at us.

The real purpose of therapy is to empower you to use these challenges as opportunities for growth and development.

I tend to be most effective helping clients who tend to find it hard to appreciate themselves(self-criticism), who experience anxiety, have unsolved issues and struggling to build meaningful and satisfying relationships.

Particularly, I have an interest in working with people interested in creativity, dealing with existential concerns, difficulty in making decisions, and those who are interested in self- & professional-development.

Therapeutic Approach: As I have a broad spectrum of approaches that I utilise in therapy - I use a Feedback Informed Therapy (FIT) in my practice. This means that I will keep track of how things are going for you and  fine-tune our approach as we go to ensure I use my skills to assist you in getting to your preferred outcome. Essentially, creating the therapy approach that fits uniquely is my top priority. I’ve been trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gestalt therapy.

“Dark times can serve as life’s great opportunity to work through past wounds, restore healing in the present, and open new horizons for the road ahead.” - Daryl Chow
